_ The 7th Annual Cheers to New Year's 5K:

Join us for Bowling Green's only New Year's Day 5k! The 2019 Cheers to New Year’s will again be held at the Loops Trail at Lover's Lane Soccer, where our runner's will enjoy ample parking, a fabulous running trail, and a large, beautiful shelter! Other will continue: packet pickup on 12/31/18, race bag with goodies and unique finishers medals. We hope to see you there! Contact [email protected] with any questions.
 

Registration on the morning of the race will begin at 7:30 am at the Lover's Lane Soccer Complex Park Shelter for the 5k and will close at 9:30 am. Coffee and water will be available. Space heaters will also be placed throughout the shelter and finishing line.

Early Packet Pickup will be available from 12:00 noon - 5:00 pm on Monday, December 31, 2018. Packets will also be available for pickup prior to the race from 7:30 am until 9:30 am.

The Cheers to New Year's 5k will begin at 10:00AM.

This year's event will be a manually timed race. 

Race Goodies for the first 200 paid participants will include a one of a kind race t-shirt and plenty of other goodies!

Post-Race activities at the Park will feature snacks to all participants and prizes for overall male and female and 1st through 3rd finishers in the age groups below.

Post-Race Party will be hosted by the Bowling Green Junior Woman's Club at a local BG restaurant. Race participants will enjoy menu specials after the race by presenting a coupon included in the event goodie bag.

Proceeds from the Cheers to New Year's 5k will benefit the South Central Kentucky (SKY) Nonprofit Center. The SKY Nonprofit Center's mission is to offer affordable rent to South Central Kentucky nonprofits. The primary goal of the facility is to provide a central location for collaboration and growth for organizations that work to improve the lives of people in our community. The nonprofits currently housed at the SKY Center include: South Central Kentucky Kids on the Block, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky, Kentuckians for the Commonwealth, Red Cross of South Central Kentucky and LKHP, a division of Community Action.
