Join the YMCA this February and get your spring fitness jump started with our annual indoor triathlon!
Come join us on Sunday morning, February 3 and try out this new winter twist. While the weather outside may be a little bit frightful, inside the Y, the pool is a nice 80 degrees. Start the event with a 10 minute indoor 25 yard pool swim. After a 3-4 minute transition period, jump on one of our Schwinn Indoor Cycles (w/ power computer) beside the pool and spin your heart out for another 10 minutes. Immediately following your ride, you'll have another 3-4 minutes for T2 to head over to the fitness center where you'll hop on one of our Precor treadmills and finish with a 10 minute run. We'll add up your distances from each event, score them decathlon style to come up with your total points to rank among all the other competitors. Example, the top biker rides 5 miles(=1000 points), you ride 4, that's 80% of the max so you would receive 800 points.
