_ The 2018 Back the Badge 5k/2 Mile Run/Walk:
This event supports the Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation of SE Minnesota. The event was formerly known as the Nightbeat 5k/2 Mile Run/Walk. The race begins on the Soldiers Memorial Field Track, then circles the entire Soldiers Memorial Field Park passing the current Veteran Memorial and future location of the Law Enforcement Memorial for fallen officers throughout SE Minnesota. The 2 Mile walk circles the Soldiers Memorial Field Park twice and finishes on the Soldiers Memorial Field track. The 5k leaves the Park and follows the bike path to the Olmsted County Government Center where it doubles back and also finishes on the Soldiers Memorial Field track also.
