_ The 2018 YMCA Youth Triathlon:
The 3rd Annual YMCA of the Suncoast Youth Triathlon will be held at their Citrus County location in Lecanto, FL This event is for youth athletes between the ages of 5 and 15. There are 2 distances (Junior & Senior) based on age. The race starts and finishes at the Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA on CR 486. All finishers receive a custom finishers medal and race t-shirt. Trophies are awarded to the top 3 males and females in each age group, 5 - 15 Year Old.
SCHEDULE:
Check-In, Race Registration on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 3-6 p.m.
Parent Course Walking Clinics: Saturday, Oct. 6 at 3:30, 4:30 & 5:30 p.m
DISTANCES:
Senior Groups: 200 yard swim, 3 mile bike ride, 1 mile run
Junior Groups: 100 yard swim, 1.5 mile bike ride, 1/2 mile run
CLINIC: A FREE preparation clinic is available at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sept. 29, led
by award-winning triathlete Bob Brockett to help participants with prep and
performance.
NOTE: Athletes are required to bring a swimsuit, goggles, running shoes, bicycle and helmet to participate.
All participants will receive an event T-shirt, swim cap, goodie bag and participation medal.
