_ The 2018 Wright Ride:
The 12th Annual Wright Ride will be held on Sunday, August 19. Distances from 10-72 miles are avaiable. The 10-mile route is a family friendly ride through Oak Park with Frank Lloyd Wright Trust Interpreters at multiple locations. The 30, 50 and 72-mile routes start in Oak Park, continue through River Forest, Berwyn, Riverside, Brookfield, La Grange and Western Springs. The two longer routes continue on to Argonne and the surrounding area.
Multiple rest stops every 12-15 miles offer fresh fruit, snacks, home baked treats, water, gatorade and ice tea as well as full SAG support.
After the ride, stick around downtown Oak Park to dine or have post-ride drinks at one of our local restaurants, bars or craft breweries.
Event details and schedule
Check-in starts at 6 a.m. and closes at 10:00 a.m. All riders will need to have a signed waiver on file or sign up on the day of the event. All riders must check-in to get route maps and wrist bands. (No wrist bands, no treats at the rest stops!)
There are two parking garages within two blocks of the event start, one at the northeast corner of Forest Avenue and Lake Street; and another north of Lake Street off of Marion Street (you may also enter from Ontario Street, just east of Harlem). In addition, there is street parking north and south of the Green Line El tracks.
