_ The 2018 Stop the Cycle of Abuse:
Our mission at CFK is to continue to ride and encourage others to ride in any event that benefits innocent children and those who advocate for them.
Stop the Cycle of Abuse is a three day, non-competitive cycling tour and camping event. Camping not mandatory.
Supporting:
- Children's Home + Aid,
- McLean County Child Protection Network
- McHenry County CASA!
The tour consists of three 60-mile loops through beautiful Lake, Kenosha and McHenry Counties. Options are available to ride 1, 2 or 3 days. You choose how many miles you log each day!
The ride is fully supported with SAG wagons, meals and friends along the way.
All riders recieve event packet and t-shirt.
An awesome jersey incentive program will be offered for qualifying fundraising levels. Awarded and shipped post-event.
If you are looking for a casual, non-intimidating ride that helps a kid along the way this ride is for you!

Event details and schedule
- Parking and rider line up at Catfish Cove
- Registration and continental breakfast begin at 7AM.
- Riders line up and leave by 8:30AM.
- Sag support, snacks and lunch at designated stops along the way.
- Picnic dinner on your return at designated shelters in the Park.
- Course closes at 4PM.
- We ride in all weather unless the safety of our riders is at stake so please dress appropriately.
