_ The 2018 SwimRun New Jersey:
14 miles of running a 1 mile of swimming broken up into 5 trail runs and 5 swims at - in teams of two in Lewis Morris park. SwimRun New Jersey is an event for very experienced and fit endurance athletes and should not be taken lightly. We in fact screen teams before we allow them into the race. This is extremely difficult terrain . Teams of two can be either male/male, male/female or female/female and wetsuits in this race are allowed.
February 1, 2018 we will start accepting applications for the 2018 event. In that application process where no money is charged, teams need to convince us of their merit with athletic details from the past 2 years. dates and names of events. Teams can also explain in essay form why the past 24 months may not properly explain their merit. Once we review those applications we will send out a registration link to the accepted teams. At that time the $275 entry fee per team is due.
It is not first come, first serve, it is a rolling team acceptance. We screen teams when they apply and let them know if we think that they have what it takes, and they can then fully register to be officially in. We will allow 100 teams to register for 2018. Once the race is full we will start a wait list and it is surely worthwhile to get on that list.
