_ The 2018 Finland Center Midsummer 5K Run:
This is the 7th annual Finland Center Midsummer 5K run/Nordic Walk which is to be held on Sunday, June 17th, 2018, 9:00 AM, with start at Bartel Pritchards Lot at Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY
Pre race packet pick up will be at the Running Company/Jack Rabbit, at Time Warner Center in Manhattan, on Saturday, June 16th, from 11 AM to 5:00 PM
Nordic Pole walking is noncompetitive. Walkers will leave after runners. Instruction in proper use of poles at 8:30am by certified instructor from Hyva Nordic Walking. Nordic Walking Poles and Audio Receiver will be provided. Please bring a pair of headphones. You may also bring your own poles.
Event details and schedule
The race stats at 9:00 AM, the course wil be a 5K loop of Prospect Park, arrive at Bartel Pritchards Lot for pre race meeting beforehand at 8-8:30 am.
Participants will receive:T-shirt; discount coupons from the Running Company. Ekavi Boutique will donate a gift certificate as women's First Prize. Men's First Prize two custom made shirts by Woodies Clothing. At the finish line, participants will enjoy water and rye and cheese sandwiches.
