_ The 2018 Portland Kids Duathlon:
Portland’s first multisport race for children, The Portland Kids Duathlon, is presented by Benchmark Real Estate and CycleMania. This new race gives young people ages 5-12 an opportunity to participate in the fast growing world of multi-sport racing. The run, bike, run format of a duathlon is fun and approachable, a great race for non-swimmers and triathletes alike. All young duathletes will finish the race with a smile on their face, a medal around their neck, and a boost of self-confidence and pride. All profits from this race will be donated to the Portland Education Foundation.
This exciting new event includes two waves, a short bike/run for 5-8 year olds and longer run/bike/run for 8-12 year olds. *Parents of 8 year olds, please register your child in the wave you think they will be most comfortable. Both waves will start and end at Cyclemania at 65 Cove Street in Portland's Bayside neighborhood. The run course will be on the Bayside Trail and the bike on Bayside and East End Trails.
All participants get a shirt, medal, swag bag and chance to win a number of raffle prizes, including a brand new bike!
