Laura and Tim FitzGerald committed to supporting the YMCA of Northwest Louisiana’s Capital Campaign by aiming to raise $1 million dollars to support the new aquatics center and have it named for their son, Miles FitzGerald.

“Swim therapy has been such a big part of my son Miles’ life. This new aquatic center will give so many the same opportunity,” says Tim FitzGerald

Through “Just For Miles,” the FitzGerald’s honor their son by supporting various projects throughout the community.

What is it?:

Olympic Distance Triathlon .93 mile swim (1650 yards), 24.8 mile bike, 6.2 mile run

You can sign up as an individual or a 3-person relay team.

All proceeds from the race benefit the Just for Miles campaign supporting the Miles FitzGerald 50-Meter Pool at the BHP Billiton YMCA.

Sunday, October 7th:  BHP Billiton YMCA - 3455 Knight Street, Shreveport, LA

Fees:

Registration fees for those that choose to fundraise will be waived.  In order to have registration fees waived, participants must raise a minimum amount listed below.

Waiving Registration Fee:

$250 for a single event

$500 for two or three events

$500 for a relay team

Registration fees (non-fundraisers):

Olympic Distance Triathlon: $150

Relay Team - 3-Day Olympic Distance Triathlon: $200
