About This Event:
AVDA's 19th Annual Race for Hope is organized by Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, Inc. (AVDA). All proceeds will support AVDA's programs and services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children.
Course, Timing and Scoring:
The course is USATF certifed. The 5K Run and 10K Run will be Net Timing by AccuChip Timing, USA. All participants will be issued a tag and bib number. Failure to wear a tag during the event will disqualify the participant from being scored in the results. There is a 90 minute time limit to complete the race.
Registration
Race for Hope T-Shirts will be given to the first 500 registrants only.
Awards: Awards to first place overall open, masters and grandmasters and five year age division three-deep for 5K and 10K.
Finishers medals will be given to all participants completing the race within the time limit.
Hometown Hero Awards: Awards to first place male and first place female police officers and firefighters in the 5K.
To be eligible to receive the Hometown Hero Award, you must be a police officer or firefighter on active duty in Palm Beach County and register in either the Hometown Hero Police or Hometown Hero Firefighter category.
Fundraising awards: will be given to first place individual fundraiser, first place fundraising team and team with the largest number of members.
Purple Party Awards: Awards will be given out to three individuals who are dressed in their best Purple Party attire.
