_ The 2018 Aquathon Series:

The entire race series is in Foxbrook Park, Brookfield. The adult race will consist of a 1000 meter, 2 loop swim around a triangular course marked by buoys. The 5K run will be 3 loops on the path around the lake. The Kids race will consist of a 250 meter out and back swim with a 1 mile run on the path around the lake.

Event Dates: 5/23, 6/13, 7/11, 8/1, 8/22, 9/19

Race Day Registration: Kids $25, Adults $30, Relay $35

Check in for Race Day Registration: Kids race 5-5:45pm on the night of each race. Adult race: 5:30-6:30pm on the night of each race.

Start time: Kids at 6:00pm  Adults at 7:00pm

SWIM CAPS: ALL participants must wear a bright colored swim cap, NO ONE will be able to start swim without a swim cap. We will have swim caps available for purchase.

WEATHER POLICY & SAFETY: In the case of inclement weather, the Race Director will make the race time decision to delay or cancel the event. We will make every effort to hold the race on the scheduled date. If necessary, the distances of the swim and/or run may be modified based on conditions and safety. In the case of cancellation, we will make every effort possible to reschedule the event at a later date (subject to park availability). If an event is canceled, please check this website for rescheduling information. If severe weather is predicted we will announce cancellation of the event on this website, Facebook, Twitter, and if possible, via email.

If circumstances require event cancellation and the race cannot be rescheduled, no refunds will be given. 

WETSUIT USE & WATER TEMPERATURES: Wetsuits may be worn in water temperatures up to 83.8 degrees F. Wetsuits are prohibited in water temperatures warmer than 83.9 degrees F. Wetsuits cannot measure more than 5mm thick.

SERIES SCORING: Scoring is based on age group finish place with points being awarded to top 16 finishers per age group in each race. 1st place = 40 pts, 2nd place = 38 pts, etc. Sixteenth place is 8 pts. If you do not compete in an event, zero points are awarded. The final series score is based on the best 5 finishes out of the 6 races.

SERIES AWARDS: Adult Race: Winner of each gender in the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.  Your age group will reflect your age as of 05/23/2018. (winners must race in at least 5 races)

Kids Race: Boys and Girls winner of each 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,14, 15yr olds (winners must race in at least 3 races)

Fastest Relay Team (Fastest overall relay time, from all 6 races)

In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by:

1. Head to head total race points
2. Fastest swim time

The overall series winners (both male and female) will receive an award but will not be eligible for the age group award.
