_ The 2018 Utah's Toughest:
This is an extreme triathlon. The swim is open water and the conditions can be unpredictable. The bike course takes place 6,000 feet above sea level and climbs up over 9700 feet altitude. THERE IS 12,118 feet of vertical climbing through the Utah mountains. The run STARTS at 8,727 feet and with a peak elevation of 10,629 above sea level. THERE IS over 7,000 feet of vertical climbing. The run is off road and on trails in and around the Brighton resort.
Swim 2.4 miles in beautiful Jordanelle Reservoir. Bike 120 miles & 12,500+ Climbing feet through the Wasatch Mountains. Run 20+ miles & rise 6,000 feet at Brighton Ski Resort. All this happens 8500 feet above sea level.
The race starts at Jordanelle Reservoir which is 43 miles from the Salt Lake City Airport.
