_ The 2018 Frankenmuth Fahrrad Tour - Presented by the Frankenmuth Morning Rotary Club:
Join us for the 33rd annual 2018 Frankenmuth Fahrrad Tour! The Tour features three routes of 25K, 50K, and 100K, and all routes begin and end at the middle school in the beautiful Bavarian Village of Frankenmuth. The routes wind out of the village, along the Cass River, across the lush farmlands of the Saginaw Valley and end back at the middle school. The roads are good for bicycling, have light traffic and are mostly flat with a few hills for variety.
The ride includes maps marked routes, food stops of fruit and cookies, "SAG," and shower facilities. There are a variety of thing to do after the ride: tour Frankenmuth, "Michigan Little Bavaria"; take a horse-drawn carriage ride or a paddle boat ride; visit a winery and cheese shop or the nation's largest year-round Christmas Shop; and, of course, enjoy World Famous Family Style Chicken Dinners.
Proceeds from the event will be used to support the Frankenmuth Morning Rotary Club's local community and school projects along with our International Water Project in the Dominican Republic.
Event details and schedule
We encourage all riders to participate in the mass start. Riders will leave the middle school at 8:00 a.m. and parade through the city on the first leg of the tour.
The registration table will be open from 7 to 9 a.m. in the Frankenmuth Middle School gym lobby. You may start riding any time between those hours. Riders on the 100K route MUST start by 8 a.m.
The school will be open and shower facilities will be available until all riders are off the route (about 4 p.m.). Please bring your own towel and toiletries.
