Paradise Park, 11031 Stinson Ave., Chisago City, MN (35 min. NE of Minneapolis)
Chisago Half Iron and Sprint is Paradise away from home. It is actually held at Paradise Park in Chisago City. This park lives up to its name as it is roomy, has a transition with shady tall trees and perched above the lake for a panoramic view of the swim. It’s also Paradise on your pocketbook because registration fees are definitely affordable.
DISTANCE
Half: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run
Aqua Bike: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike
Sprint: ¼ mile swim, 22 mile bike, 5K run
Course Information:
THE COURSE
Swim Course
The swim is at beautiful Paradise Park in Chisago Lake. Plenty of buoys will be available to rest if needed. (Swim cut-off is 1 hr and 10 minutes after you start)
Bike Course
The bike course has a few rollers, mainly flat. The run goes through charming residential streets with community support and several water stations. (Bike cut-off is 4 hrs after you start)
Run Course
Both run courses follow residential roads. Roads are well kept and flat. (Run cut-off is 3.5 hrs after you start)
QUICK BIKE SAFETY CHECK CAN BE DONE AT FOREST CYCLE AND SKATE TENT the morning of the event. Fairview Lakes Health Services will be providing excellent medical coverage for the weekend. We will have massage therapists on hand for the Half Ironman.
