This event is a micro-triathlon for kids ages 8 to 17. The swim portion is 70 meters, the bike portion is 1000 meters, and the run portion is 500 meters. There are 5 age groups: A (8-9), B (10-11), C (12-13), D (14-15), and E (16-17). Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age group. Ribbons will be awarded to the 4th and 5th place finishers.
The race will be run in heats of 25. A tentative race day schedule is as follows:

Please allow enough time to check in and drop your bike off at the bike staging area prior to the start of your group.
Course Information:
The course is located within Wickham Park, Melbourne, Florida. Back Lake will be utilized for the swim portion. Racers will race in heats of 25 starting on the east side of Back Lake in front of the main pavilion. After completing the swim, racers will bike through the youth camping area and back to the west side of Back Lake. Portions of the bike route are on a bike path, but the rest is shell road and off-road. All the terrain is flat. After dismounting, racers will head south along the lake, finishing in front of the main pavilion. Total time to complete the course is estimated to be 15 to 20 minutes.
