_ The 2018 Florida Xtreme Triathlon:
A 3-day, 300+ mile, coast to coast triathlon across Florida. Participants will swim, bike and run each day, completing the equivalent of three long course triathlons.
Course Information:
Friday:
• Your coast to coast journey will begin at Crystal River with a 2 mile swim in the Gulf of Mexico.
• Upon exiting the water you'll then bike 103 miles to Carney Island Recreation Area, just south of Ocala.
• Afterwards you will head out to the trails for a 3 lap, 30K run course.
Saturday:
• Stage 2 begins with a refreshing 2 mile swim in the crystal clear waters of Lake Weir.
• The 77 mile bike course will take you past Historic Silver Springs, to Starke, northeast of Gainesville.
• The 3 lap, 30K run is on roads and trails adjacent to the camp.
Sunday:
• The final stage starts with a 2 mile swim in Lake Bedford.
• You will then head out towards the Atlantic on the 75 mile bike ride to Marineland.
• The final 13.1 mile run will take you to Hammock Beach Resort and a short run on the beach to finish!
