Valor's Voice is proud to help fulfill the promise to never forget by meeting the needs of local veterans. The O.C.R. race will benefit...

Ian T. Hogg Reunion- a Marine/Iraq vet suffering with A.L.S. that we offset his fellow Marines visit each year.

WWII Museum Trip- we're taking 10 WWII vets and one family member/local student to museum.

Jamie Wade House Upgrade- Airforce/Iraq vet fighting M.S. whose house needs upgrading.

Corey Garmon Home Furnishings- double amputee Army/Afghan vet whose cost of home furnishings we're taking care of.

Thanks for helping us serve those who so faithfully served us!

Event details and schedule

We're excited to be partnering with Duellator Obstacle Course for our first major fundraiser! Our founder says that Duellator is "American Ninja Warrior meets Field of Dreams". It's in the middle of a rural area and is something you have to see to believe.

The course is located in Altoona, AL. Check out the Duellator website to view the course and to a view a video that will give you an idea of how difficult it is. We'll send you off 2 at a time on 4 different lanes. We also have a children's course, so you can make it a family affair! Children's course is for 6-12 year olds.

Click on link below to view Duellator course and get all the info on the course you need.

Gift Bags

4. Are there time limits?

Yes. We'll explain more later once we have more solid numbers, but basically the competitive will go first and non-competitive after. Competitive will have less time, non-competitive more. You will have the chance to complete each obstacle but if you can't, you can burpee out. At the time limit designated, you will here a horn and that means you are finished on that particular lane.

5. Is there a rest period in between lanes?

Yes. The course is set up where you have at least 10-15 minutes in between runs.

6. What makes Duellator different?

Duellator is the only course of it's kind in the Southeast. What makes it different is that it is a sprint course. You aren't taking your time tip toeing through the daisies. Your exhausting yourself on every lane and every obstacle. It's not a distance run. It's short and brutal.

7. Can I get a refund?

Sorry, no refunds. If you want a friend to take your place you should be able to swap registrations on the Active.com registration site.

8. Are there additional start times?

We will add additional flights as necessary and if possible. Registration is limited however, even with additional flights.

9. How do I get there?

There will be well marked signs on your way to Duellator. GPS should get you close, and our signs will bring you the rest of the way in the event your GPS isn't cooperating. Closer to race time, we'll also give your written directions from TN, Huntsville, Birmingham, and Atlanta.

Address: 1147 Painter Rd., Altoona, AL 35952

10. Who does this benefit?

11. Waivers and I.D.

You can fill out the waiver either by visiting the Duellator sight (top of this page) or by downloading during registration.

18. What's the start time?

First group is at 10 a.m. Additional flights will be added as needed and will be 3 hours apart. (Maximum 150 per flight)

19. Can a group compete as a team?

Absolutely! We've made it super simple to do this. We didn't want anyone to not be able to compete individually. So you can register to compete individually and email us and let us know you have a team that will be competing or let us know when you check in the morning of the race which team your competing on. You can have as many on your team as you like. We'll take the top 6 times from each team. Winning team gets a one of the those stupid cool customized shields with the teams name on it to keep.
