_ The 2018 Tour de Corn:
Join us for the 2018 Tour de Corn -- an unforgettable, flat ride through rural America.
Enjoy the beautiful Missouri Bootheel scenery with flat roadways and broad vistas of bayous, crop land and nature. Come enjoy unparalled hospitality paired with delicious fresh sweet corn, homemade treats and music at a variety of charming rest stops! Proceeds from this ride benefit national and local charities.
Routes available are approximately 16, 30, 65 or 100 miles.
HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDERS INCLUDING CHILDREN IN BUGGIES & BIKE SEATS.
Event details and schedule
Tour de Corn 2018 Ride Information:
This is a ride, not a race. Plan on riding at a rate appropriate to your training.
Timing/Location: All rides start at 7:30 a.m. on June 23 at the East Prairie at the Family Life Center. Ride starts and ends in downtown East Prairie at the Family Life Center at 320 Washington. Ample parking and rest rooms provided.
Terrain/Routes: is flat for most of the ride. Well-marked rural highways. Portions of the Mississippi River Cycling Trail on all routes. Approximate rides of 15, 30, 65 or 100!! 100 mile ride is a great "starter" ride for anyone wanting to do their first Century ride.
Maps: Route maps will be available at the registration table on the day of the ride. Additionally, we will provide GPS-based maps in June.
Rest stops: Rest/snack stops provided on all routes. Some rest stops have bathrooms/running water; some have portapotties.
Safety: SAG service provided. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDERS INCLUDING CHILDREN IN BUGGIES & BIKE SEATS. Cyclists must obey all traffic rules. Message board will be provided. Family and friends may post messages.
Bathrooms with showers will be available at the Family Life Center. You must bring your own towel.
