_ The 2018 York 38 Special, Spirit of 76, and Lucky 13:
A challenging and exciting mountain bike ride covering 38 or 76 miles of breathtaking scenery. On the York 38 Special or the Spirit of 76, you will gain 3,000 vertical feet from lowest point of the ride (Nelson), traveling mainly on dirt roads and singletrack. For families, there's also the Lucky 13 Ride -- 6 miles to Vigilante Campground and back along beautiful Trout Creek Canyon. There will be numerous rest stops with water, sports drinks, and homemade baked goods! Bike mechanics and EMTs available on the course.
Event details and schedule
Check in begins at the York Fire Station at 6:00 AM for the Spirit of 76, 6:30 AM for the York 38, and 8:00 AM for the Lucky 13 Family Fun Ride.
* Spirit of 76 riders may embark at 6:30 AM.
* York 38 riders may embark at any time between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
* Lucky 13 riders may embark between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
* Timed start.
* Coffee, juice, and munchies offered in the community hall.
* There are restrooms in the community hall and the park.
* We have six aid stations with goodies, staffed with EMS, and patrols between stations.
* Please carry with you any supplies you may need i.e., sun block, bug repellent, moleskin, energy drinks, water, and emergency tools.
* Helmets are mandatory.
