_ The 2018 Burlington Youth Triathlon:
Swim, bike and run! Great River Medical Center and Team Beast will host the 10th Annual Burlington Youth Triathlon featuring chip timing. Certified lifeguards will be in the pool. A bike helmet is required at all times while on the bike. No drafting is allowed. A water station will be located near the transition area
Race Distances:
Ages 7 - 8: Swim 50 yards | Bike 1.6 miles | Run 0.25 mile
Ages 9 -11: Swim 100 yards | Bike 3.1 miles | Run 0.5 mile
Ages 12-14: Swim 200 yards | Bike 4.6 miles | Run 1 mile
Course Information:
Swim in the Burlington City Pool (outdoors).
Bike within Dankwardt and Crapo Parks.
Run on sidewalks, streets, and grass around the baseball fields.
Certified lifeguards will be in the pool.
A bike helmet is required at all times while on the bike.
No drafting is allowed.
A water station will be located near the transition area.
Parents will be allowed into transition prior to the race.
