_ The 2018 Folks On Spokes Easter Ride:
The F.O.S Easter Ride is a one-day bicycle tour sponsored by the Folks on Spokes Bicycle Club, an Illinois not for profit organization. Since 1982 this ride has grown in popularity despite sometimes imperfect spring weather.
Food and fun are what the Easter Ride is all about! Rest stops will be stocked with fruit, drinks, sandwiches, homemade cookies and maybe live entertainment.
After the ride, stop for food, music, and massage (fee) at the Multi-Purpose Room on the lower level of the Village Hall. Enjoy a traditional Easter Egg salad sandwich and more while listening to the Friday Afternoon Band or Kendall at the Keys.
Event details and schedule
Registration opens at 7:30 AM and closes at 10 AM. If you plan on riding the 58 or 79 mile route, we ask that you start by 9:00 AM. Sag support ends at 3:30.
Your fee entitles you to a map of the routes, access to all rest stops, SAG support, and parking. A limited number of t-shirts may be available on the day of the ride. Please plan to pick up your rider packets and T-shirts by 10:00 AM.
Route choices are: a 17-mile short route plus 26, 34, 45, 58 and 79-mile longer routes. Each route follows lightly traveled paved roads and a few miles of paved trail. All routes are fully marked.
