_ The 2018 Cape Coral Yacht Club Sprint Triathlon:

The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department  and Lee Health are pleased to present the 9th Annual Cape Coral Yacht Club Sprint Triathlon. This USAT sanctioned event is held annually in the beautiful historic area of Southeast Cape Coral.

. Entry Fee: $75 per individual participant. A $10.00 early bird discount will be offered to those who register by February 28, 2018. After April 30 fee is $100.00. 

Team relay entry fee: $165 (Max 3 participants per team)

A $15 one-day license fee applies for non-USAT members. Each participant MUST have a valid USAT license and a valid photo ID (i.e. driver's license).

 *Online entries will be accepted through May 7, 2018. There will be NO LATE OR DAY OF  race registrations allowed. No Refunds will be given for registration fees. 

*PLEASE NOTE: Participants who register after 4/30/18 WILL NOT receive a race day shirt. 

Swim

This races features a .25 mile open water swim in the Caloosahatchee River located at the Cape Coral Yacht Club Community Park.

Bike

The 11 mile bike ride will begin and end at the Cape Coral Yacht Club Community Park and consist of two 5.5 mile loops.

Run

A 5k run will conclude the event with the run course traveling through the historic Riverside Drive, Dolphin Drive, and ending on the Yacht Club Beach.

Awards

Top finishers will receive beautiful, custom designed, hand-made trophies created by local artist Andrea May. Awards will be given for the top 3 male and female athletes overall, the grand master male and female and the master male and female. Trophies will be given out to the top finishers in the following age groups: (no duplicates): 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+.

Event details and schedule

Athletes can check-in and pick up packets on Thursday May 10 from 4pm- 7pm or Friday, May 11 from noon- 6pm at the Cape Coral Yacht Club (Rotino Room), 5817 Driftwood Parkway, Cape Coral, Fl 33904. All athletes will need a photo id and proof of USAT membership at check-in. Athletes must pick-up thier own packets (no exceptions). 

Transition opens at 5:30am on race day. Race begins at 7:00am. 

 Race day parking is free.

An awards ceremony will be held immediately following the completion of the race (after the last athlete has crossed the finish line). All athletes are encouraged to attend.
