_ The 2018 French Creek Triathlon:
Welcome to the best local Philadelphia Area Triathlon Event! The French Creek Triathlon includes an Olympic distance triathlon, and a Sprint distance triathlon, along with an Aquabike and Relay division, Athena/Clydesdale, a Collegiate Challenge, and a Team Challenge event.
This is the 6th Annual French Creek Triathlon, in conjunction with the ToughKids Philly Triathlon on 5/19/18. Make it a family weekend, by having the kids race on Saturday, stay over at our campsites, or in a cabin, and you'll have a designated cheering section for your race on Sunday!
This is a USAT Sanctioned event.
Custom awards to top 3 in each age group.
CASH PRIZES to top 3 Male/Female overall winners in the Olympic distance race. $200/$100/$50 for top 3 M/F.
Free hot food buffet for all racers and volunteers.
Course Information:
Swim Course is a 750 meter loop on Hopewell Lake. 1 loop for Sprint, 2 loops for Olympic.
Bike Course is an out and back on the roads adjacent to the park. 1 loop for Sprint, 2 loops for Olympic.
Run course - Sprint Run is a 5K to Scotts Run Lake and back. Olympic Run is a 10K that starts the same but includes a lollipop, rejoins the 5K before doing an out and back in the campground section of the park.
Directions:
Directions from the Philadelphia / King of Prussia area: Take 422 West past Pottstown to the first red light. Turn left onto River Bridge Road. Cross the bridge and make a right onto PA-724. Follow 724 West for 0.7 miles, then turn left on Red Corner Road. After 2.1 miles, make a left at the stop sign onto Shed Road. After 2.0 miles, the road will come to a T. Turn left on PA-345 South, then a quick right on Park Rd into the actual Park. Continue on Park Road for 2 miles and you'll see Hopewell Lake on your left. Continue to the next left after the park office. You'll pass our transition area on the left. Continue to the next left and park in that lot just above the transition area.
Directions from PA Turnpike (points south and west) – Take the Morgantown exit (298) of the PA Turnpike. Take I-176 North for 0.1 miles to exit 1A. Turn right on PA-10 North and follow for 0.5 miles. Turn right on Joanna Road. After 0.9 miles, turn right on Elverson Road. After 0.6 miles, make a slight left onto Hopewell Road. Hopewell Road turns to Park Road. Pass South Entrance Road. After 3.8 miles on Hopewell / Park, turn right before the park office. (If you pass Hopewell Lake, you went too far.) You'll pass our transition area on the left. Continue to the next left and park in that lot just above the transition area.
