_ The 2018 1st Annual International Drive Road Race:

Join us April 29, 2018 for the 1st Annual International Drive Road Race. Our event features a 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile Kids Fun Run. Both the 5K and 10K courses will be USATF Certified and Sanctioned. Participants are able to compete in both the 5K and 10K with the top 1-3rd overall male and female runners receiving cash awards. Each participant receives a finisher medal.

5K-8:00am
10K-8:30am
1 Mile Kids Fun Run-9:30am

Parking:
Parking will be at the International Drive Fields, part of the Horry County Parks and Recreation Department at 900 International Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579

Start and Finish:
The start and finish lines will be in the same location on International Drive near Ocean Bay Elementary School. Free refreshments will be available near the finish line for all runners.

5K Course:
The 5K course will be certified and start near Ocean Bay Elementary School and go roughly 1.55 miles down the newly opened International Drive and then make a turn to come back on the opposite side of the road.

10K Course:
The 10K course will be certified and start near Ocean Bay Elementary School and go roughly 3.1 miles down the newly opened International Drive and then make a turn to come back on the opposite side of the road.

1 Mile Kids Fun Run:
The Fun Run will not be a certified course but the course will start and finish in the same location as the 5K and 10K. Children may participate in the Fun Run for free but they will not receive a race bib or finishers medal without paid entry into the race. Parents will be permitted to run with children during the race for free but will not receive a race bib or finishers medal without paid entry into the race.

Timing:
Second Wind Race Timing will be the official timing company. The 5K and 10K courses will use chip timing devices attached to the participant bib to record each runner's time. The Fun Run will not be a chipped event and times will not be recorded, it will be up to each runner to check the finish line timer to get your time.

Awards:
All participants completing the 5K and 10K will receive a custom finishers medal. Male and female top three overall finishers will receive a medal and cash prizes, overall winners will not be eligible for age division awards. Male and female age division winners will receive a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place medal for the top three finishers in each division. See below for Awards details. Awards will take place at 10:00am and overall finishers must be present in order to collect cash prizes.

Race T-Shirt:
Race T-shirts will be included in the price of the 5K and 10K races, the Fun Run will not include a race T-shirt but one can be purchased for an additional fee. The race shirts will be a higher quality shirt than most races and will use a tri-blend material.
