_ The 2018 Morro Bay Triathlon:

Morro Bay Triathlon is back and better than ever. It is a true destination triathlon with California flavor. Swim the bay, ride historic highway 1, and run on the hard packed sand on the beach, board walk, dirt roads and paved roads. Come out and enjoy some of the finest multi-sport terrain on the west coast! We offer an alternative kayak and stand-up paddle board course to the non-swimming multi-sport athletes, in addition to the traditional swim portion of an Olympic and Sprint courses.

We pride ourselves on running a safe, fun and challenging event, there will be lots of volunteers and our course is very well marked. Students & Military must show ID at check in.

November 3, 2017  – Packet Pick-Up : COLEMAN PARK, MORRO BAY

12:00pm to 3:30pm Free SUP Demo – Sponsored by The Paddleboard Company @ Coleman Beach
2:30pm to 3:00pm Pre-Race Briefing/Q&A Session (meet at Transition Area).
3:00pm to 6:00pm Packet Pickup (packets are not mailed)

November 4, 2017 –  Event Day : 

Coleman Park – Morro Bay – Start, finish and transition areas are all located here.
6:00am Transition opens, day of registration opens. Arrive early to ensure parking and ample time to set up your tri gear.
6:00am – 8:00am Kayak/SUP drop off (10min max), Kayak/SUP pick-up
7:45am Transition closes
7:45am Pre­-Event Briefing
8:00am WAVE 1 Olympic (Male) *BLUE cap
8:05am WAVE 2 Olympic (Female and Relays) *PINK cap
8:10am WAVE 3 Olympic (Kayak & SUP)
8:15am WAVE 4 Sprint (Kayak & SUP)
8:25am WAVE 5 Sprint (Male) *GREEN cap
8:30am WAVE 6 Sprint (Female and Relays) *YELLOW cap
11:30am Awards (next to race finish)
