_ The 2018 Storm the Stadium - Notre Dame:

On July 4, 2018, Notre Dame's Office of Military & Veterans Affairs (OMVA) will host the ultimate stair-climbing challenge, with proceeds benefiting Notre Dame-enrolled veterans and their families, active-duty and ROTC students, and those who are dependents of service members.

Storm the Stadium will feature a stair course that will take participants up, down, and around every section in historic Notre Dame Stadium (short course, stadium walk, hand climb, and family fun zone options are also available). There will be rest stops, drink stations, and music playing to keep you focused and pumped. You might even catch a glimpse of yourself on the video board in the House That Rockne Built.

Whether you’re looking to embark on the ultimate stair-climbing challenge—from the tunnel to the top and every aisle in between—or enjoy a walk around the house that Rockne built, Storm the Stadium is for you.

So join Notre Dame’s Office of Military & Veterans Affairs this July 4th to Storm the Stadium on behalf of our military men and women!

*Family-friendly - activities for kids - courses for all fitness levels*

“Touch ’em all” is a phrase usually reserved for baseball home runs.

But with the Storm the Stadium long course, you’ll have the chance to put a new spin on that old idea as you climb up and down the stairs in each and every one of Notre Dame Stadium’s 72 sections—36 in the lower bowl, and 36 in the upper.

The short course option follows a similar path but stays in the lower part of the stadium; the stadium walk, which is ADA accessible, is a flat course that will let you walk the full concourse between the lower and upper bowls.

The interactive graphic to the right illustrates the long course, short course, and stadium walk routes. In addition, an ADA-accessible hand power option, a virtual climb, and a family fun zone are available.

The event kicks-off with an opening ceremony at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. Climbers will be assigned to one of six waves starting at 8:15, 8:30, 8:45, 9:00, 9:15, or 9:30 a.m. The course time limit is 3 hours.
