_ The 3rd Annual Ride to Remember:

Come join us for the 3rd annual Ride to Rember as we ride 85-miles through the City of Dallas while being escorted by the  Dallas Police Motorcycle Unit. We will ride two abreast making our way to all 7 Dallas Police substations and DART PD headquarters as we honor our fallen Brothers and Sisters who were killed in the line of duty protecting the Citizens of Dallas. This is the only ride where you will not have to stop for any red lights, stop signs, or vehicles thanks to our Police escort and Tactical Operations Planning Squad.

Last year we finished with a 16mph pace.  Our goal is to keep our average between 15-16mph AND to keep the entire group together. If a rider is struggling during a segment of the ride they may be placed in the sag wagon, this is to keep the group on schedule and the police escort running smoothly throughout the ride.  WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO KEEP EVERYONE RIDING! Last year we only had 1 person sag for one segment.  

Event details and schedule

ENTRY FEE: 

Registration is $40.00 until January 31st.   

February 1- March 31st the registration is $50.00. 

April 1-May 31st the registration is $60.00

REST STOPS and SAG WAGON:

We will have snacks and water at each of our rest stops and lunch will be served at the Northeast substation ( 40-miles into the ride).  Medical aid will be provided along the route and we will have sag wagons for those who may need to sit out a segment.  Rest stops will be approximately 12-16 miles apart so if you need to sit a section out you will not miss out on much mileage.  BBQ and refreshments will be available after the ride and are included in the registration.

WEATHER:

There will not be any refunds issued if the ride is canceled because of weather.  We will ride in the rain just as long as it is not a torrential downpour with lightning-we will make every attempt to get the ride in!   Texas weather changes by the minute, we will have our trailer with us during the entire ride so feel free to put your riding gear inside the trailer.

START TIME:

We will leave from the Dallas Police Association at 0700 to get a head start on the Texas heat.  The Motorcycle Unit will have a mandatory safety briefing that everyone must attend before we head out.  For the safety of the entire group, if you miss the meeting then you will not be able to ride- DO NOT be late.
