_ 2018 Tri the Kroc Indoor Sprint/Olympic:
This is a true-distance Sprint and Olympic indoor race! You will swim laps in the 6-lane pool to complete the swim distance, transition to Keiser bikes equipped with the pedal of your preference and ride the bike distance (magnetic resistance on the Keiser bikes automatically adjusts speed and distance), transition once more and run on treadmills to complete your race. Unlike most indoor tri's, this is a chip-timed race! Family and Spectators are welcome and there will be seating available for the swim and bike. Bring the kids, the gym will be open to participant families with lots of kid-friendly activities. Food will be provided for athletes, and available for spectators.
Course Information:
There will be 2 waves of Olympic athletes (12 total), and 8 waves of Sprint athletes (48 total). You should have plenty of time to finish each element, but if you struggle with any one of them, we may need to cut you off at the threshold time to free up the pool or other equipment. You will be given FULL CREDIT for the FULL distance, we will calculate how long it would have taken at your average pace and make the correction. Your time starts when your swim wave starts, you will be timed entering T1, exiting T2, and finish. You will have a transition area for swim-bike, and for bike-run. Pedal styles that will be available will be Platform, Toe cages, Shimano SPD, Shimano SPD-SL, Crank Brothers eggbeater, Speedplay Zero.
