Ten West Triathlon welcomes you to this USAT sanctioned, early-season training camp for age groupers, beginners and improvers. The focus will be on skill development and competent execution in all three disciplines, setting up athletes for a successful season. Begining at Katy High School Natatorium the camp will kick off with a swim instruction and training session, followed by a bike ride and time trial between Katy and Brookshire. The afternoon session includes run drills and a 5K park run at nearby Peckham Park and a stretch session to wrap up the day.
Event details and schedule
7 45 am Check in at Katy High School natatorium. Enter via North Stadium Lane.
8- 9.30 am Swim technique coaching and training. Optional 500 yd time trial.
10 -12 noon Bike coaching and tempo ride/time trail between Katy and Brookshire
12 noon - 1pm light lunch
1 - 2.00 pm Bike maintenance and transitions. Tire changing contest!
2.00 - 3.00 pm run technique coaching and 5k run.
3.00-4.00 pm Stretching and recovery
What to bring:
Swim suit, goggles, towel
Bike, helmet, shoes, cycling jersey and shorts, spare tire, pump or CO2 cartridges
Running shoes, shorts, t -shirt, cap or headband.
Clean set of clothes for afterward.
Adequate clothing for bike and run portions, check weather beforehand.
Water, gatorade, light snacks, lunch provided.
This event is USAT sanctioned, participants must have current USAT membership.
