_ The 10th Annual Staten Island Tri/Duathlon:
Join athletes from all over the world in Staten Island! This USAT sanctioned all-weather race starts at 8am at Midland Beach, Staten Island. Competitors take on a 1/4mi open water swim in the Atlantic or a 1mi run along the beach. All athletes continue with a 12mi bike consisting of three, 4mi loops. Racers finish off the last leg with another 3 mile run along the beach.
All competitors must park in the parking lot 5A (across from Lincoln Avenue). Access to the parking lot will not be available as of Sunday at 7:30 am. NYPD will close Father Capodanno Blvd. to all traffic at 7:30 am on race day. No vehicles will be allowed out of the parking area (on to Fr. Capodanno Blvd.) until 10:00 am. Anyone wishing to leave before this time must park on the side streets leading to Fr. Capodanno Blvd.
Packet pick-up begins on Saturday, August 4th from 5:00-6:30p.m. at the Midland Beach, ball field #7 (opposite Greeley Ave.) You must show photo ID and proof of USTA membership to receive a packet. New entries will be accepted! (Cash Only - No t-shirts to race day entries)
Post-race celebration includes an Award Ceremony along with famous A&S bagels, spreads and fresh fruit! Awards to the top 3 male and female overall and to the top 3 males and females in every age group. Finisher medals for all those who cross the finish line and signs up online receives an NYTRI t-shirt.
