We all know the history of endurance sports on the islands of Hawaii, it only makes sense for Powerman Hawaii to create it\'s own history, memories and legends. Kailua Kona\'s Kealakehe High School is the perfect setting. It sits about a mile above the coast overlooking downtown Kona, dolphins and whales swimming by and on a clear day the island of Maui off the coast.
The high schools track stadium will play host as friends family and spectators fill the stands as the athletes enter the stadium to watch a 300m battle between the athletes as they hit the track for the final run to the finish.
The epic bike and run courses will take the athletes on a challenging run above the high school and bike course below the high school that will feature a 800m climb each lap on the multi-loop course.
Marathon runners, endurance athletes, triathletes, bikers, runners - Anyone Can Do the DU!
The run courses will start and finish on the high school track. Then take you up above the high school on a slow gradual climb to a turnaround point. Then it will be a lightning fast descent back down to the high school and into the transition area or finish on the track.
The bike courses will utilize the Ane Keohokalole highway, Pilani, Queen Ka'ahumanu highway and the climb being on Hino Lani parkway. Flat on the Ane K, to a fast descent on Pilani to a nice climb on the Kealakehe parkway for a 1,2 and 4 loop course.
Course cut off: 5:00 hrs. Raffle / awards will start at 12:30.
