Save Youth Sports 5k & Family Relay

Kick start your New Years Resolution with a new Family Tradition

 

WHO:  Open to runners/walkers of all ages
 

WHAT: 2nd Annual  Save Youth Sports 5K (Traditional competitive 5K race) & Family 5K Relay (One 5K split into 4 legs of approx. 0.8 miles each)

WHEN:  Monday, January 1, 2018 – Save Youth Sports 5K starts @ 10am, Family 5K Relay @10:45am

WHERE:  Piedmont Triad Farmer’s Market, 2914 Sandy Ridge Rd, Colfax, NC

ENTRY FEE:  Save Youth Sports 5k runners - $30 in advance* ($35 after/day of race), Family 5K Relay (4 person team) - $48/team in advance* ($68 after/day of race). *Advance registration rate valid until December 22, 2016.

PERKS:  Lunch provided after race, all participants will receive a gift bag courtesy of DICK’S Sporting Goods which includes $10 in DICK’S cash.

AWARDS:  Age group and overall prizes awarded for Sports Matter 5K & Top 3 Overall prizes awarded for Family 5K Relay, all courtesy of DICK’S Sporting Goods

PACKET PICKUP:  Friday, December 29th, 3-7 pm, Greensboro DICK’S Sporting Goods

TO BENEFIT:  A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation to help save local youth sports. Billions of dollars in funding has been cut from youth sports programs across the nation in recent years, leaving millions of students unable to play. The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation believes that sports make people better. Sports build character, increase confidence, and motivate kids to stay in school and aim for higher education. Since 2014, the DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation has pledged over $50 million to give children the opportunity to play. Through these efforts, our initiative has raised awareness of the importance of youth sports and saved over 1,800 teams.
