Pan-Florida Challenge Ride for Hungry Kids : |
Cycling : 10 miles to 200 miles |
Pedal for a Purpose. 1 in 4 children go hungry in Florida. Pan-Florida Challenge is a charity on a mission to solve childhood hunger one meal at a time. We provide weekend backpack meals to kids who don't know where their next meal is coming from. Since 2014, PFC has provided over 3 million meals to hungry kids. The Pan-Florida Challenge Ride for Hungry kids offers six different ride routes ranging from 10 to 200 miles (double century). Rides are fully supported with catered meals, water stops, SAG support, overnight accomodations for 100 and 200 mile riders, jerseys, finihs line party, medals, and more. Registration fees and fundraising minimums vary by ride route.
The ride begins at North Collier Regional Park in Naples and heads north on Livingston through Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Alva, LaBelle, and Venus. The first day is a century ride that will end on the shores of scenic Lake Placid at the Lake Placid Camp & Conference Center. You’ll enjoy water activities, massage, and hotel-style accommodations. Cap off your day with a fully-catered dinner by Chef Jeff and a lakeside bonfire and chat with our women's pro team Papa John's p/b Trek.
After a hearty buffet breakfast, day two departs Lake Placid and travels through Okeechobee. It features a fast, flat ride along Route 70, crosses to the barrier island in Fort Pierce, and then finishes with a beautiful ride north on AIA along the Atlantic Ocean and through the charming seaside town of Vero Beach. You will be greeted with a hot shower, a hot meal, massage, and entertainment at our Finish Line Celebration.
