The Championship 10k course is run on a smooth asphalt pedestrian trail that in most places is as wide as a neighborhood street. The course climbs in elevation for the first mile, then drops down to the turnaround point in Bill Briare Park. The return trip offers a 2-mile climb back up to the western terminus before dropping back down over the last mile to the Finish.
