Sparta Police Athletic League (P.A.L.) and Main Street Events NJ are looking forward to getting many folks active during a quiet time of the year!  On Saturday,February 3rd of Superbowl weekend, the Super Snowshoe Shuffle will be on its way with open registration at 9 a.m. and START TIME AT 10:30 a.m. held at High Point Mountain.  Guests pay nothing, and may enjoy the fire pit and indoor facilities.  The trails will be groomed with upcoming new snowmaking machin ...just be prepared and a bring a warm change of clothes, sun glasses and a little mountain breeze!  Welcome/Sign Up Center at 1480 Rt 23 Highpoint, NJ.  Snowshoe pickups and paper registration Friday 5-8 p.m. as Pre Packet pickup will be available Feb. 2nd, Friday 5-8 pm at the Sparta PAL at 38 Station Rd across from the police station. Online closes Feb 2nd12 noon.  Snowshoe instruction and hot refreshments by Action Bikes and Outdoor at High Point Mountain and other inclusive goodies like a winter event hat, Hot Fire Roasting with marshmellows, hot refreshments at top of mountain, race course music, 5K or 1.2 mile entry and a great brand of snowshoes for keeps to ultimately support young boys and girls of the Sparta PAL.  Prized custom medallions for top male and female finishers in both events!  We have 100 shoes to give out while supplies last for the $80 entry.  When we exceed 100 new shoe requests, then entry will be $110.  High Point Cross Country Ski Retail Center is open for other equipment as needed.  If you have snowshoes, you'll save as entry thru race day would be $30.  Call Andy to arrange pre race pickup of snowshoes as part of your package for those in need.  973-222-8748.  I can email the printable app or may find at www.SpartaPAL.com when posted.  For those football fans, bring a football and get pumped for Sunday's big game!
