_ The 2018 Tri Goddess Tri:
Tri Goddess Tri was started 10 years ago to celebrate women of all abilities, inspiring them to reach new heights of health and set new fitness goals by training for and completing a triathlon. The first-ever all-women’s triathlon/duathlon in Michigan, Tri Goddess Tri is organized by women who know how to make your first (or hundredth!) triathlon tons of fun! The event is held just 12 miles west of Chelsea at the Portage Lake Unit of Waterloo State Recreation Area, the surrounding our participants in scenery as beautiful and inspiring as themselves.
In celebration of our 10th year, we have a weekend of activities planned and will be honoring the life and legacy of Karen McKeachie—world-class triathlete, athletic pioneer, community leader, a force of nature to all of us who knew her, and co-founder of Tri Goddess Tri. We will be raising money for Karen’s Trail which celebrates what Karen loved most by expanding recreational opportunities for everyone in the region.

The Portage Lake Unit of Waterloo State Recreation Area is located at 11500 Seymour Road, Grass Lake, MI 49240. Click here for personalized directions. A State of Michigan Park permit is required to enter Waterloo State Recreation Area. The Recreation Passport is your $11 ticket to Michigan’s state parks and outdoor adventures for an entire year! Michigan residents are not able to purchase a one-day park pass. For State Park entry, all Michigan residents must have a Recreation Passport.
Out-of-state residents will be required to purchase an $9 daily permit or a $31 annual Motor Vehicle Permit.
