_ The 2018 Mack Cycle Key West Triathlon & Duathlon:
The Mack Cycle Key West Triathlon is proud to be in its 8th year. TRIKW has become the token season closer for many triathletes. With a maximum of 1,000 participants, it’s a big race on a little island. Home base is Higgs Beach, which serves as an easily accessible location to swim, bike, and run. Participants come back year after year for the fun and the atmosphere that only Key West and Mack Cycle TRIKW can provide!
Course Information:
Sprint Triathlon
Key West Triathlon's Sprint Distance course features an Atlantic Ocean 0.75km swim from Higgs Beach, a 20km bike along South Roosevelt/US 1 beachside, and a 5km out and back run along Smather's Beach. The swim exit features a beach exit with a short run to transition. The bike course is a double loop along South Roosevelt/Smather's Beach and run course is an out and back with a short beach finish.
Olympic Triathlon
Key West Triathlon's Olympic Distance course features an Atlantic Ocean 1.5km swim from Higgs Beach, a 40km bike along South Roosevelt/US 1 beachside and up US1 to Boca Chica Naval Air Station, and a 10km out and back run along Smather's Beach. The swim exit features a beach exit with a short run to transition. The bike and run courses are out and back with a short beach finish for the run.
Sprint Duathlon
Key West Duathlon's Sprint Distance course features a 1 mile run, a 20km bike along South Roosevelt/US 1 beachside, and a 5km out and back run along Smather's Beach. The first run will start at Higg's Beach and take you out and around the Key West neighborhood. The bike course is a double loop along South Roosevelt/Smather's Beach and the run course is an out and back with a short beach finish.
