Cold , chilly but such a worthy cause! This will be our 4th annual run!
Our 10k run will be held on March 3rd,2018. Registration needs to be received by February 11th 2018 to receive a long sleeve shirt.
We will have a 10am start time , and have a no one left behind mindset , in case there are any walkers. Shirt and BIB pick up will be from 8:30am to 9:45 am on March 3rd,at the trail. On site registration will be during the same time.
This trail run will be held on the Old Creamery Trail located just on the south side of the town of Garrison , IA. The trail is an old railroad track system that has been renovated with a nice gravel finish. It has some trees on either side of the trail helping to keep the wind factor reduced. Benton County Park and Rec maintain it nicely, in the winter time snowmobiles utilize it and if there is snow on the trail it will either be packed in or plowed(depending on the weather prior to the race). It is an out and back run which will start at Garrison and head towards the town of Vinton 5k, turn and head back to the finish in Garrison. There is a water stop 2/3rds of the way so that runners may use it from both directions. Also as with our other runs we will provide refreshments and food post race as a Thank You for your support in fighting hunger!
