_ 2018 Stissing Sprint Triathlon & Kids Tri:
The Stissing Sprint Triathlon is a beautiful race course that encompasses a small town, rolling hills and Stissing Lake in Dutchess County. It is a family friendly, welcoming event, which is great for both beginners and competitive triathletes.
1/2 mile swim, 16.5 hilly bike, 3.3 mile run around the lake.
Kids Triathlon distances:
11 & Under: Swim - 100 Meters, Bike - 3 Miles, Run - 1 Mile.
Ages 12 - 17: Swim - 200 Meters, Bike - 6 Miles, Run - 1 Mile
Age group awards and wave starts as follows: 16 & 17yr old, 14 & 15, 12 & 13, 10 & 11, 8 & 9, 6 & 7, 5 & UNDER.
Race is USAT sanctioned and one day event insurance coverage is required and purchased at registration on race day if not an active USAT member. All USAT rules and regulations apply. There is no refund for this event. Held rain or shine.
Award ceremony following race along with BBQ, music and fun.
This race benefits the Pine Plains Recreation Program.

Bike Route (turn-by-turn): Stissing Triathlon
- Exit T1 and turn LEFT onto Beach Rd.
- Turn RIGHT onto Lake Rd.
- Turn RIGHT onto State Route 199 East
- Make immediate LEFT onto Bowman Rd.
- Turn RIGHT onto Ryan Rd.
- Turn LEFT onto N. Main St. (no sign)
- Make immediate/sharp LEFT onto Silvernails Rd. (Hoffman Rd. goes RIGHT)
- At TRIANGLE stay RIGHT onto County Route 7
- Turn RIGHT onto Gallatinville Rd.
- At TRIANGLE stay LEFT onto Sigler Rd.
- Sigler Rd. becomes Hall Hill Rd.
- Turn HARD LEFT onto Dam Rd. (Hoffman Rd. goes RIGHT)
- Turn RIGHT onto State Route 82
- Turn RIGHT onto State Route 199
- Turn LEFT onto Poplar Ave.
- Turn RIGHT onto Stissing Ave.
- At Beach Rd. (LEFT) and Lake Shore Dr. (RIGHT) GO STRAIGHT!!!
- Turn LEFT onto Beach Rd. and enter T2
