- Baton Rouge, LA – The Rouge Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation is happy to announce their annual Ryan’s Walk/Run for sickle cell disease (SCD). Through this Walk we promote education and awareness for those living with SCD. The monies raised from this event will stay within our community to provide supportive services to those living with this disease.
Ryan's Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the North Boulevard Town Square in Downtown Baton Rouge. 5K Run begins at 7:30a.m., 1 Mile Walk begins at 8:00a.m., and the 1 Mile Fun Run for kids begins at 8:15A.M.. Come out and meet our 2017/2018 Sickle Cell Ambassador, Khloe Noelle Cushenberry, and Ryan Clark our honorary chairman! This year’s event will be hosted by LaTangela Fay and Scottie Hunter, WAFB-TV. All of the Greater Baton Rouge and surrounding area are invited to come out and support sickle cell disease.

Route
5K Run: 4th St. North to Spanish Town, East to 5th, North to Capitol Access, East to Capitol Lake, West to 3rd, North to River Road, U-turn South to Spanish Town, East to 4th, South to North Blvd.
1 Mile Walk/Fun Run: North on 4th to Spanish Town, U-turn South on 4th to North Blvd.
Directions:
Take I-10 West
Exit Government Street
Turn Right on Government Street toward Downtown BR
Keep Straight onto S. River Rd.
Turn Right on N. Blvd.
Arrive at North Blvd Town Square on Right
