Men and Women ages 14 and up will both enjoy the opportunity to compete in the Frederick Sprint Triathlon. For the last 9 years this race has been designed for Women Only but have changed this year to include men as well as women.
This year our Triathlon Theme “TRI To End Parkinson’s Disease”
Support the dramatic relief of symptoms individuals achieve by cycling. At the Y we offer Pedaling for Parkinson’s cycle classes twice a week in an 8 week program. The cycle class is taught by Kim Spletter, a cycle Instructor and Personal Trainer who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s seven years ago. Proceeds from this race will financially assist individuals with the funds necessary to take the Pedaling for Parkinson's class at the Y. Course Information:
The Triathlon takes place at Middletown High School, 200 Schoolhouse Rd, Middletown, MD and includes an indoor 300 meter swim, 10 mile bike with rolling hills, and a 2 lap run totaling a 5K distance.
