This is the second annual Big Swell Open Water Swim Race and Outdoor Expo taking place at Devil's Lake State Park. We are excited to offer a 1.2 and 2.4 mi wetsuit and non-wetsuit division as well as a 500m youth (age 10-16 yrs) race.
Capable Middle and High School swimmers are allowed, and encouraged, to try the 1.2 mile event, with parental consent.
Course Information:
The adult race a 1.2 and 2.4 mile rectangle course is well marked with large orange buoys, patrolled by lifeguards and volunteers in a variety of watercraft. The average water temperature for Devil's lake in July is 69 degrees F.
Entry includes: Chip timing, entry into the state park (until 11am), Race shirt, post race food and drink, massage by Peak Performance massage and awards!
