The 26th Annual Aspirus Copperman Triathlon & Duathlon takes place on August 5, 2017 in beautiful Copper Harbor, MI. The Triathlon includes a 1/2-mile swim in Lake Fanny Hooe, a 23-mile bike along the shores of Lake Superior and a 5-mile run at the tip of the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula. The Duathlon consists of a 6k run on trail and pavement to the Northern most tip of US-41, followed by the same 23-mile bike and 5-mile run route as the Triathlon.
The Aspirus Copperman stages at the boat ramp of Ft. Wilkins State Park, just east of Copper Harbor, Michigan. Individuals and teams are welcome.
Event details and schedule
Early Packet Pick Up: Tuesday, August 1, 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Aspirus Keweenaw Fitness Center in Laurium.
Packet Pick Up: Friday, August 4, 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Copper Harbor Community Center

Parking: Please Park in Copper Harbor – NO PARKING ON US 41 from the General Store to the Race Venue. There will be shuttles running from 6:30am – 8:45am and again after the awards ceremony is complete.
Body Marking & Chip Pick Up: All athletes must pick up their chip and be body marked NO LATER than 8:00am on Saturday. Chip Pick up and Body Marking begins at 6:30am at the Ft. Wilkins Boat Landing.
Pre-Race meeting: will be held at 8:20am sharp in the Transition Zone.
Race Start Times: Duathlon will start at 8:45am, with the Triathlon beginning at 9:00am
