Obstacle/Mud Runs : 10 Mile Adventure Run With Obstacles |
Test yourself over sand, trails, water and more than 25 obstacles on the Barber Beast on the Bay 10 Mile Obstacle Course! Known as the biggest obstacle course in Erie, PA, this extreme obstacle course adventure challenge is held on the shores of Lake Erie at scenic Presque Isle State Park. You'll be climbing, crawling, pushing and pulling your way from the start line on Beach 11 of Presque Isle to the finish line at Waldameer Park and Water World. We will provide hydration and nutrition stations along the course to keep you energized and cheer you on! An “Elite” wave is offered for serious competitors who want to be timed, do the whole course and every obstacle to be eligible for awards. Optional timing for all participants is available. Want to participate in the Barber Beast on the Bay in a more leisurely way? You can choose to walk the course and opt out of any or all obstacles to be part of the fun and enjoy a day at Presque Isle in Erie, PA!
Parking is FREE. Participants are encouraged to park in the lot located at Waldameer (enter on Peninsula Drive), 100 W Lake Rd, Erie, PA 16505. This is the location of Registration Check In, Bag Drop, and the Finish Line. Parking is also available across Peninsula Drive in the Waldameer overflow lot and the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. Directions to Waldameer
Your support of Barber Beast on the Bay will help the Barber National Institute provide greater hope and opportunity for children and adults with disabilities and their families.
Since our founding in 1952 by Erie educator Dr. Gertrude A. Barber, we have grown into a multi-faceted organization that serves more than 4,200 individuals annually with education, support and resources needed to become more self reliant, independent and valued members of their communities.
The “E” is providing free shuttles to take participants from Waldameer to the starting line at Beach 11. Shuttles will begin running at 7:15 am. Please plan to board the shuttle at Waldameer approximately 1 hour before your scheduled wave time. Shuttles will also make designated stops and pick ups throughout the course. Spectators may park at designated parking lots on Presque Isle to cheer at the Start Line and obstacles along the course.
Please do not leave valuables in your car.
