- The Greene County YMCA will be hosting their 1st annual triathlon in Greeneville and Greene County. This is a great beginner race with a short indoor 150 yard swim, a 13 mile ride through a beautiful scenic winding country road and a 5k run through historical downtown Greeneville, home of the 17th President - Andrew Johnson. Overall, age group and relay awards will be presented. Volunteers are provided by the Greene County YMCA. This triathlon is not a USAT Sanctioned Event. Expected participation - 100.

SWIM
150 Yards
Pool swim, with time trial start - swimmers start one at a time every 10 seconds, with the fastest swimmers starting first. Participants will swim up one lane, down another , up the next and continuing on as they traverse the pool for 150 yards.
BIKE
13 Mile
The ride offers a great balance between flat roads and challenging hills through the beautiful Greene County countryside. Traffic control and excellent volunteer support at all major intersections.
Run
5K
The run is relatively flat with some hills through Historic Downtown Greeneville.
