The Highlands Special Operations Adventure race enters its 16th edition. Racers can choose from the 6 Hour Sprint or 12 Hour Elite races. Disciplines will include mountain biking, running/hiking, orienteering, canoeing, and rappelling. Come see the course that our new race director has created. 100% of proceeds benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. This race is a REGIONAL QUALIFIER for the 2017 USARA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. The top finishing coed, elite (12 hour race) team will receive regional champion jackets and $400 toward the entry fee for the 2017 USARA National Championship race.
Active Duty military members will receive a $50 rebate check at race check-in when they show active duty ID.
Event details and schedule
The race will take place on Saturday, June 10th in Highlands, NC. Pre-race meeting for Elite and Sprint racers on Friday, June 9th at 7pm. Optional meeting for Sprint racers on Saturday morning. Check-in will begin at 3pm on Friday, June 9th for both Elite and Sprint racers. Please check www.soarhighlands.org for complete rules, gear lists, and details.
