Welcome to the Fort Wainwright Shamrock Run!
This event is open to all members of the military and the Fairbanks community. We encourage members of the community to come join us and share in this great event with the soldiers of the 3rd Battalion 21st Infantry Regiment “Gimlets”.
The Fort Wainwright Shamrock Run will have 3 different events that runners can participate in; 5K, 10K and 1 Mile fun run for families and youth runners. The registration fee for individual runners for all events are fixed, as well as the cost for runners racing in teams.
Sign up before February 27th and receive a race T-shirt!
Individual online registration is $25. Online registration ends March 20th. Race day registration is $30.
Team online registration is $25 per runner. The minimum runners per team are 2 and the maximum is 6. All team members must race in same event. Race day registration for teams will be $30 per person.
Event details and schedule
Runners may park in front of 3-21 Infantry Battalion Headquarters (see map in photo gallery). The race day registration table will open at 7:30AM on March 18th in Building 3210, Santiago Ave. Runners can sign in, pick up their race bib and T-shirt.
Early race day shirt and bib pick-up is February 16th at the Battalion staff duty desk.
The 5k run will begin at 9:00AM. The 10K will begin at 9:05AM, and the 1 Mile will begin at 9:10AM. For any additional questions please email CPT Gallagher at [email protected]
