5k or 1 mile run/walk, with or without your dog, on a college cross country course. The event is organized by Otterbein University's Event Planning and Sport Marketing classes, who hope to educate and raise awareness for canine cancer. Their goal is to raise $40,000+ for the MedVet Charitable Foundation, with 100% of the proceeds earmarked for clinical investigationof the diagnosis and treatment of canine cancer. More specifically, the money raised this year will be earmarked for curing canine cancer via bone marrow transplants and patient care. In addition to the walk/runs, the event will include dog contests, paw print art; a silent auction, educational materials, informational presentations, dog and pet-related vendors. Race awards will be given to the top three male and female runners along with special prizes for winners of the contests. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Course Information:
Off road, college cross country course. 5K or 1 mile run/walk. Will be held, rain or shine.
