Come check out this great small town race that has much of the feel and appeal of a much larger event. This well ran race offers all the amenities of a larger big city race, but with the hospitality of a small town event. The course will challenge you, the volunteers will excite you, and the whole event will warm your heart. Visit the race website for more information on the event.
Packet pick-up will occur 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 2/12/15 at Flo Fitness Center (3166 Bill Virdon Blvd, West Plains, MO).
The 13.1 Mile course is a figure of 8 style course through the beautiful city streets of West Plains, MO. The 10K course follows the first loop of the 13.1 M course but heads back the start finish area at mile 4.5. Both courses will challenge you, there are several hills on this course. There is plenty of flat and downhill for you to recover and achieve a suprisingly fast time. Port-a-pots and aid stations are scattered every 1.5 - 2.5 miles along the course. There are plenty of volunteers and the course is well marked to keep you on track.
Both races start at 7:30 a.m. on 2/13/15.
Finishers medals are awarded to half marathoners. Age division and overall awards are presented in both the 13.1 and 10k. The first relay team will also win a nice award.
